I have a problem with my MB beeping practically non-stop while playing 3D
games. Everything works fine until I fire up a game like Call of Duty or
something else with 3D graphics. I have tried two different video cards to the
same effect. I have:

ASUS P4S8X MB
1 gig PC2700 ram
P4 2.4
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 meg
450 w Power Supply
Win XP Pro

I have run ASUS probe in the background while this is happening and there are
no temp or voltage issues. The odd thing is the games run fine its just the MB
beeps crazily, high, low, etc. The only documentation with the MB don't really
match up to what is happening. The one "High frequency beeps when system is
working." is for "CPU Overheated" or "System forced into a lower frequency
(usually because of overheat.) Its not overheating and if it was it would beep
even after I quit out of a 3D app.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

I think that overheating IS the problem. When you run a 3D app, your
Graphics processor gets hotter, as does your CPU. Your machine wouldn't
beep when the you exit the 3D app, because the chips are cooling down.
Have you installed sufficient cooling in your machine? Also, do you have
fans working in harmony with each other? It is pointless having two fans
blowing air in from either end of the machine, you would be better with
one blowing air in, and the other blowing air out. Remember that your
power supply's fan also affects the airflow in the system. Other things
that can help are not having any expansion slots left uncovered, and not
putting a card in the PCI slot below the AGP slot.

It may not be overheating, but I can't think of anything else it could
realistically be. Some long shots would be a faulty motherboard, or
extreme amounts of EMI affecting the system speaker.

Hope this helps
