I did a recent installation of IE55sp2 in Win98SE.
Problem is that I'm getting an ongoing error message everytime I try to
start OE5. It says:
The Address Book failed to load. Outlook Express is incorrectly configured,
please re-install.

After this message appears, OE5 loads. So I try to access the inbox folder
an I get:
There was an error opening this message. An error has occurred.

I have reinstalled OE5 three times now and I get the same message.... even
after re-installing the entire IE55sp2 files! The source files I'm using are
reliable because I have used them numerous times off of a CD in the past.
Any helpful thoughts on this? TIA

ps: (IE55 is working fine btw)

Frank, about your options you provided here:
The link <http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=269777> didn't provide
the right answer since the check box was already checked off.
But <http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=274745> worked!
I removed the wab5 registry key as instructed, reinstalled OE5 and
now the address book loads and works like a charm.
Many thanks for your research and extra effort! :-)

Thanks for the feedback.
