I ran a windows update today and after I restarted the
system crashed and is now stuck in a continous restart
loop. Every time windows loads it gets to the login
screen and then restarts. I tried to restore in safe mode
but that didn't seem to help. Also at the same time this
happened to me it also happened to another person on the
same wireless network as me. I assume it is a virus of
some kind but I have seen people who say that some of the
service packs cause this. Any insight would be greatful

Boot into safe mode, then go in system properties, click
the advanced tab, startup and recovery settings button,
then uncheck the option for automatically restart. Then
you should see the stop code error screen. Also you can
check the event viewer in administrative tools, in your
control panel for any error and warning messages.
