Context menus in File Explorer

If there is a better newsgroup to post this question in, please let me
know.

I'm using a company computer over VPN. Speed is acceptable for the most
part. One thing that is very slow is file explorer context menus. I
right-click on a menu item and it takes more than 30 seconds for the
context menu (open, copy, paste, send to, etc.) to come up. Is there a way
to analyze the context menu so I can see what it is referring to? I am
wondering if some entries in the context menu are referring to apps. on
remote servers.

Thanks in advance,

One which specializes in performance for your OS, which you have neglected
to disclose. ; }

ProcMon (to some extent.)

Do you have any network attached drives? Try detaching them if possible
and see if that changes your performance.
