i am using content advisor to block sites on my computer.
When you type in the website in the url, it blocks the
site. but if i search for it in yahoo, and find it, I can
double click on the link and it takes me to the site. How
can i block this site?

The problem with links (from searches) is that the link probably is to a
Yahoo domain (for the search engine and used to track your navigation
for their statistics) and the URL to the target domain is specified
within the *parameters* of that Yahoo domained URL; i.e., it looks
something like
"http://<somehost>.yahoo.com/<someapp>?...,url=<targetdomain>,...".
That's my guess why the Content Advisor isn't working; i.e., it uses a
simplistic approach of blocking by domain name instead of URL filtering
(where the domain string may appear anywhere within the URL for a
match). You are not getting directly to the site by the URL. Instead
you are getting redirected. Google does the same thing *IF* you enable
their advanced features (Page Ranking, Page Info); otherwise, the link
shown in a search list is for the target domain. For example:

A search at Yahoo on "Intel" has one match with a link:

http://drs.yahoo.com/S=2766679/K=intel/v=2/SID=e/l=WS1/R=1/SS=53730/H=1/
*-http://www.intel.com/

A search at Google (without advanced features) has the same link as:

http://www.intel.com/

Obviously the Yahoo link is routing you through their tracking system
(so they can update their statistics) and www.intel.com is a
*parameter*, whereas the Google link takes you directly to Intel's site.

Sounds like you really want to get a firewall and use URL filtering,
although the firewall may also block the "result" site that you get
redirected to.
