If one is committed to running BCM, what would be the purpose of maintaing a
regular set of contacts and a BCM set of contacts? Is there not more
functionality, history tracking, etc. in BCM? Even if I create an account
called Friends and Family in BCM, I could put my contacts there. If someone
has a good reason to maintain the two sets of contacts, let me know.

If you use a shared BCM database, you may not want others tracking
your emails with friends and family.

Also, if like me, you exchange many emails with F+F, the overhead of
maintaining all those the links between emails and contacts will
eventually affect BCM's performance.

One other q. When receiving an inbound e-mail, what is the difference
between using the E-Mail auto link and Link to record options?

Once turned on, auto link should automatically link the email to the
contact with that address as soon as they arrive in the in box.
