When I click on a cvf card and select open, the outlook
email application is opened. I would like the outlook
contact application to open. How can this be
accomplished. This was working before I installed a Nokia
PC suite for synching my phone with outlook. I have
associated the vcf file type with the outllok program.

They're the same application.
I assume you mean you want Outlook to open to the Contacts Folder view?
Modify the open command for VCF files:
"c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe" /select
outlook:contacts

Russ:

Thanks for the repy. I have the file association set up as follows:

"C:\Program Files\microsoft office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE" %1 I don't see how I
can further edit the open command. Where is this done? and wher do I select
the folder view that is opened?

Thanks for the response. I have the file association set up as follows:
"C:\Program Files\microsoft office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE" %1. How and where do
I configure it so the contacts folder view opens when I try to open or save a
VCF card. How do I modify the open command as you suggested?

I always set mine in Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options... > File
Types rather than trying to edit the registry directly.
Path will depend on your setup. My current one is:
"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~4\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /v "%1"
