I have read alot of issues concerning contacts and the
address book in Outlook 2002. I tried several different
fixes and I am still having problems in Outlook 2002. I
have typed in and imported addresses(from Outlook
Express) into the contacts folder. No addresses show up
in the address book. I enabled the contacts folders as
an email address book already and did not fix the
problem. When I click on To in a new email message I
have no selections. I do not remember exactly where, but
in one place I saw two contacts folders listed under
address book with the same name both contacts. Can you
give me any ideas? OS is XP Pro and Outlook 2002.

It is not unusual for the Outlook Address Book to "lose track" of the
connection to its Contacts Folder when you move or import your PST or update
your Outlook version or OS. Use the following steps to reset the connection,
depending on your Outlook version. Note that in some instances you may
actually have to remove the Outlook Address Book completely from your
Profile, close Outlook, and then re-add it before you can get it to work.

Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book. If it is not listed, back up one step
and add it. If it is, then click on Change. to make sure ONLY the Contacts
folder(s) you want to display are listed. You may need to enable the
Contacts Folder as an e-mail address book by R clicking the Folder >
Properties and check the "Show this folder as an E-mail address book" box.
Make sure you restart Outlook after making these changes.

How will I know which folder contains my data. I believe
that they are 2 contact folders. In your directions
below are you saying to delete the Address book? Will
that delete the contacts folder or are the two totally
seperate?

MAY GOD BLESS YOU IN CHRIST JESUS
Thank you very much for your help

Just pick one and delete it.
If it's the wrong one, delete the other and add the first back.
You aren't deleting any data, just an errant link to your Contacts Folder.
