after putting a client on our network in office 2003, his address book
doesnt seem to pull up all is contacts. Only the people within our
network are in his address book though the old address book and
contact people exist in a seperate folder, just not reachable through
the address book. how could I move the contacts into the address
book??

In Outlook right click on the folder that contains the contacts and select
Properties. Then select the Outlook Address Book tab and make sure the box
is checked for "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" and fill in a
unique name in the "Name of the address book" field and click Ok. Now you
should be able to open the Address Book and access these contacts by
selecting the drop down list under "Show Names from the".

I hope this information is helpful.

I did this and found it was 'greyed out' - both the check
box and the field to change the name could not be
changed.

I want my Palm Pilot to sync with my Outlook 2000
Contacts (instead of my Outlook 2000 Address Book) and I
keep finding myself unable to make changes that it seems
I should be able to make. I can't find the 'VCards' to
make changes to, either. I'm ready to pull my hair out!

If it is grayed out, then you have not yet added the Outlook Address Book
Service to your profile.
