Contacts vs. Address Book

My wife is using Outlook 2000 on a Windows Me machine. For some reason her Address Book displays everything in her Contacts folder, not just entries with email address. On my machine (Win 2000 and Outlook 2000) the address book contains just entries with an email address. I understand that an address book is not really a separate entity of the Contact folder, more like a subset, how do we restrict this "subset" to entries with an email address.

You must be using different mail support modes. Are you? Look in Help |
About if you don't know.

Indeed, my wife's machine indicates "Internet Mail Only" while mine says "Corporate or Workgroup". Does this make a difference to the address book/contacts list?

Completely. They are like two completely different programs.
IMO is incapable of supporting the Outlook Address Book, so it uses the
Windows Address Book instead. That's why it won't behave like the Outlook
Address Book. You can switch modes if you wish, depending on which suits
your overall needs better.
For information on choosing a support version or changing to the other
support version, look here:
