Hi

I got outlook 2000 running under windows 2000 professional
When I compose a new e-mail I press the -To- button then I choose "Contacts"
from the "Show name from the:" list

Here I got a list that is not sorted alphabetically...

To make it in a good order I thought of exporting it to Excel, sorting it
there then importing it.
but when I do the Export it actually gives me the list that is found in the
contacts folder which is in the folder list and not the list that I see when
I press the -To- Button

What might be the problem... Could someone help please
Thanks

You didn't post your mail support mode.
Depending on your version and mail support mode of Outlook, you can sort the
Outlook Address Book this way (check for your mode on the second line of the
Help menu > About):

97, 98/2000 in Corporate/Workgroup mode:
Tools menu > Services > Highlight the Outlook Address Book service > Click
Properties > Set sort order

98/2000 Internet Mail Only:
Tools menu > Address Book > View menu > Sort by
