I have a user that needs to get his contacts when he's dialed into the office
from his home computer. However, they aren't popping up when he types in the
name of the person he's trying to email. I've already checked in properties
to make sure that contacts is allowed as a choice.
Any ideas? It appears that his Outlook at home isn't pulling contact info
from the Exchange server here at the office even though he's authenticated to
the server.

You haven't really provided any information.
Provide your versions of Outlook and Exchange and explain what you mean by
"not popping up." Are you referring to autocompletion or autoresolution?

Outlook 2002, Exchange 2003

By "popping up" I guess mean autocompletion (ie. you type in Pete and it
fills in the email addres for Pete or it gives you a list of addresses if
Pete has more than one)

Then that would be the expected behavior. Autocompletion has nothing to do
with the information store. It uses a cache of names derived from messages
that have previously been sent. That cache resides on the local machine and
is profile specific.

Is there a way to get it to pull the names from his contacts folder?

silly question - what is autoresolution? isn't that basically the same thing?

Not at all the same thing
Here's a primer on the differences:
