Contacts not Showing

Perhaps you could provide some information such as:
1. Outlook version
2. How you are adding the Contact
3. The view in which it "fails" to appear.
 
I have the same issue,
1. Version XP
2. I add contacts by clicking on the address book icon 0n the toolbar
then clicking new entry, new contact (put this entry in Contacts)
click ok, add my infor then save & close.
3. I cannot see the contact that I just added if I go to the addres
book icon on the toolbar, then pick contacts in the show names from th
list. But I can see the new contact if I click on the Contacts icon i
the Outlook Shortcuts bar & if I click on contacts in the Floder list.

No such version as XP.
The address book has never been the interface for data entry in Outlook in
any version of Outlook. The Contacts Folder is.
