In your folder list, right-click on your contacts folder
that you can't see and select properties. In the Outlook
Address Book tab, click the check box that states "Show
this folder as an outlook address book".

Hope this helps.

Hello, i had the same problem and this fixed it, however
i now have 3 other sources in which to view contacts
from. there is another "contacts" and somthing
called "outlook Address book" and one i managed to create
trying to solve this issue called personal contacts.
also when i click on the "to" button to get a contact
from my contacts list it gives me a n error message that
says " the address list could not be displayed, The
contacts folder associated with this address list could
not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you
do not have permissions."
how to i tell outlook to now only use the new contacts
folder that your suggestion created that has my contact
information in it?
