Contacts not in address book when sending a message??

I have a user who can create a contact and we can view it under contacts, but
when we go to send an email and look for the user in the contacts list it
does not show. Any clue as to where it is being saved? We can see it if we
click the contacts icon on the left pane but when we choose it from the
address book icon its not under the Contacts list. Any suggestions?
 
Do you have the Outlook Address Book service loaded and have you set the
Contacts folder as an Outlook Address Book?
