Contacts not associated in Outlook 2003?

I used a progrm called "transfer MyPC" whilst migrating to a new PC. Since
doing so I'm unable to use my contacts list fully. It's still there but I'm
unable to select any contacts for the "TO, CC or BCC" when sending mail. I
get the following message in a pop-up:-

"This address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove
this folder from the Outlook address book, see Microsoft Office Outlook Help."

I've scoured the help sources but am unable to find (or figure out!) what to
do to resolve this problem. I've tried "repair" from my installation CD and
also re-installed, both to no avail.

Any help to sort this out would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks but I've done all mentioned and still it does not work!

This answer is posted nearly daily in this group. You simply need to
configure your Outlook Address Book so that it displays your Contacts:

It does for everyone else.
Since we weren't watching, perhaps you should tell us exactly what you did.
I assume you restarted Outlook so the changes will take effect.

Once again I think I've done everything correctly but no change. I have a POP
mail account and the Outlook Address Book is "Type MAPI" in the view and
change address book tab. Could this be the cause?

No. Once again, if you want help you should post in detail what you did. We
have no way to know what you are doing wrong until you do. Verify that the
Contacts Folder you are viewing in the Outlook Address Book is the one that
contains all your Contacts. Verify that your Contacts have valid electronic
addresses.
