Contacts: name (E-mail) and name (Fax) ... Why?

I have updated my home/office with a new computer for the past 4 years and
used my Office 2000 premium each time without any issues until this last
update. I moved from a cmoputer with XP Pro to XP Home and imported my
xxx.pst file as I have each time I changed computers. This time my contact
list shows the addresses as:
name (E-mail)
name (Fax)
Plus it will not work with my Outlook Calendar at work, when I try to send a
scheduled meeting notice or note between my home/office Outlook Calendar and
my work Outlook Calendar.
What did I do to my contact list this time that is different from the other
three times I up-dated?

This is perfectly normal.

Define "won't work" in exact terms.

Perhaps you've been lucky. You should never import from a PST. You lose
data that way. Instead, open in in Outlook with FIle>Open>Personal Folders
File (or Outlook Data File, depending on the version).
