Contacts missing from drop down

I can not get the contacts list on the drop down after
you click on the "To:" button. We are on exchange and
the global address book, and the users show up fine.
There are several contacts in the contacts list that I
can get to from the folder list, but I can't get it from
the drop down on a new message??? Any ideas would be
greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
 
Did you enable this Contacts Folder as an email address book in its
Properties?
 
The outlook address book tab on this particular PC is
greyed out. It does not give me the option to choose
the "show this folder in the e-mail address book". I am
guessing that is the check mark that I need to make. The
question is how?? Thanks again in advance.

Sounds to me like you haven't added the Outlook Address Book Service to your
profile. I'll assume you know how to do that. You failed to provide your
Outlook version, so I can't tell you.
