I have a user that has a pretty big contacts list in Outlook 2003. It is
visible in Outlook under"contacts" in the bottom right hand corner grouped
with "Mail", "Calendar" etc. When I go up to the address book and look for
"Contacts" it is not listed. I have found the option to add this into the
address books list, but it appears greyed out and will not let me add
"Contacts" to the address books list. ....Any ideas? Office Pro 2003 SP2, all
updates applied.

Thanks,
Shawn-

Configure the Outlook Address Book service correctly.

Thanks Brian,
when I go to add the contacts the check box is greyed out in the properties
of the contacts folder. it seems like the address book service is not
installed or broken. Any ideas? Should I just try a repair of office or creat
new email profile from scratch and move all of his PSTs?

Sure. Read the article whose URL I supplied and add the Outlook Address
Book service to your mail profile.
