We have recently gone from outlook 2000 to outlook2003.

Is the contacts (shown in the contacts bar on left hand side of the
outlook screen), and the contacts shown in the outllook address button
(pab was imported into this one) the same contacts?? Or is the outlook
address contacts a seperate file ??

I ask this as some of our users have different members in both
areas...is this normal or odd??

help...

Hi,

Outlook Address Book is basically a service which we have in Outlook that
displays the contacts in the Outlook Data File, which users add under the
Contacts section in Outlook. The data stored is stored in the format of a pst
file along with other data like emails, calendar and so on.
Personal Address Book (PAB) is another version of storing contacts in
Outlook, where the data is stored on a separate file with a .pab extension.
So if the data was imported/updated differently, the Contacts section will
contain different data accordingly.
