I recently reformatted my hard drive and reloaded Windows
XP Professional and Office 2003 back on the system. I did
backup the .pst containing all of my emails, contacts, and
such. But when i go to create a new email message and
click on the To: button it says that it cannot find my
contacts in the contacts list. When I go to my Contacts
folder in Outlook 2003 I see all my contacts there. One
thing, I did have Office 2000 on the system before, but i
decided to upgrade it to Office 2003.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank You in advance.
Erik

I know there is an issue with the "format" of the office
data when going from Office2000 to Office2003, Office
2000 is in ANSI and Office2K3 is in Unicode. Make sure
that the backup data has been converted into Unicode...

This is not the problem. The problem is you didn't configure the Outlook
Address Book to use the your Contacts after you brought them into the new
installation. How did you transfer these Contacts from your backup?

This is probably not it, but if you right click your contacts folder in
folder list, click "properties", then go to the Outlook Address Book tab, is
the box checked to use this folder as an email address book?
