I'm just getting familiar with Windows Mail and I send club messages
to 65 people. Can I change it to allow 65 instead of 50 that it does now?

Where do you see a restriction to 50 members in a group?

My largest contact group in Windows Mail has 110 members without any
problems.

Maybe your ISP does not allow a bulk email to more then 50 recipients?

Thanks S of O. Maybe that's it. When I send them, there is a box that says
something about exceding 50 and wants permission to send. I'll check it
out further. Just getting familiar with new system here.
Thanks again.

Then that's probably a limit set by your ISP to discourage spammers...

Hi Gordon and S of O. Thanks for help, but I did more looking when sending
couple
more bulletins to the group. The limit of 50 was set by "Zone Alarm", the
anti-virus
program I use. In the advanced settings of "Outbound MailSafe Protection"
the amount
of recipients can be set. The default setting was 50, so I changed it to
allow a few
more than the group is at moment. I'll make a note in my notebook for future.
Many thanks again for your ideas.

The restriction to 50 is almost certainly created by your ISP rather
than your software.

You could try other E-mail providers to see if they allow more. G-mail
for example, although I don't recall how many they allow.

Alternatively you could create a listserv for your club. Try for
example, joining all of them to a listserv using yahoogroups.

Thanks Ken. I've checked and so far on ISP mostly found restriction on amount
of e-mails going out(1000 per day). The 50 in group count here was as I stated
in earlier post. But ideas might work elsewhere, and might help someone.
Thanks

I guess that would be in ZoneAlarm Pro? I cannot find that feature but
I only have the free version

Hello S of O
I have ZA AV. I found that under "E-Mail Protection" "Main" then went to
"Outbound MailSafe Protection" then"Advanced" . I know it's not a Windows
program, but it's working good with Vista, and it answered the question I
asked even though the ISP would have been next.
