Contacts in e-mail address book

I am using Office 2007 and am unable to access my contacts in my address
book. I have followed instructions to set up my outlook address book in
Account Settings and it is already there. When I then go into the Contacts
Properties the 'Show this folder as an e-mail address book' is greyed out.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
 
I migrated the data following the instructions that Vista provided to
transfer the data from my old computer to my new one via a network cable. I
think my profile transferred also.

That's the problem. That won't work for Outlook. You must create a new
profile from scratch.

Thanks Russ, that is a real nuisance. I suppose it will be one of those
things that I will never get around to doing!
