contacts from outlook 2000

Does Outlook 2002 use the same pst file as Outlook 2000?
I need to upgrade my outlook but I don't want to lose my
contacts. I can only purchase the full install for Outlook
2002 ($109.). They do not have a upgrade available for
outlook only.
 
You should be fine. I've upgraded one of my machines from OL97 -> OL98 ->
OL2000 -> OL2002 and I've used the same PST file throughout the upgrades.
