My contacts folder has somehow become a "mail items" type
folder and consequently cannot be used properly or shared
out with MDaemon Groupware.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Derek

That's a pretty rare problem. If you add the Message Class property to a
table view, do the items show up as IPM.Contact or IPM.Note.

I should also have asked if it's a .pst file being used to cache an IMAP
mailbox.

Not sure what you mean, how do I add the Message Class
property to a table view? A table view of what?

It's not a pst being used to cache an IMAP. As far as I
know it's a standard outlook setup popping an MDaemon
server.

Could I fix it by moving the PST, creating a new one and
importing the items from the original?

I can't try much on it until next week as it's at the
office.

Thanks

Derek

A table view of the Contacts folder, for example the Phone List view.
Right-click the column headings, choose Field Chooser, then drag the Message
Class property from the All Contact Fields list to the column headings.

We'll get a picture whether you can import when we find out more information
aboiut those items.

"As far as I know" sounds like there's an element of doubt. Did you check
the email account or store settings?
