My contact files are organized in several folders.
One of those folders has disappeared from the list on the left.
I can find a file from that folder by running an "advanced search",
but I can`t address them in any other way.
Hence I know the files still exist.
How can I bring this folder back to the list?
Where this folder hides?
(outlook 2000 sp3)

Specify the view you are using and what you mean by the "list on the left."
Outlook Bar?
Folder List?
Something else?

Use View > Folder List to display your entire folder hierarchy.

Thanks
The folder list is where the missing folder doesn`t show. It is true
for all the views. The only way I can retrieve a contact is by advance
search.

That does not seem possible.
Folder List view is the view that shows all your folders. If the folder is
in your profile, you will see it there.
Any folder you deleted would be in your Deleted Items folder.
Are you sure you are really using Folder List and that you expanded it?

You are right. I found it.
The folder was hidden deep in the hirarchy, in such an unexpected location.
Thanks a lot.

However, it shouldn't be. It should be at the same level as your other
default folders (i.e., Inbox, Calendar, Tasks, etc.)
