Hi,
I have Outlook 2003 running on WinXP Pro SP2.
I recently performed a fresh install of Xp and Office 2003. I made a backup
copy of my .PST file and copied this over when I reinstalled Office 2003.
All my emails and contacts are there. No problems there.
My problem is when I click on the "To" button to bring up the address book I
get the following error message:
-----------------
"The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated
with the address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or
deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove
this folder from the Outlook address Book, see Microsoft Outlook Help."
-----------------
I do have admin rights when trying this and I cannot find anything helpful
in the Help file.
I have tried the solution at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319901/en-us
but when I get to step 15 the option is "un-ticked" and greyed out.
I also have another issue, which may be related. In my folder tree for
email, I have 2 x "personal folder" trees which are identical. Email gets
delivered into both the folder trees.
Any ideas guys?
Best regards,
Darren
