I want to creata custom view showing all of my contacts that have an
Birthday. I can sucessfully limt the selection criterea but I am
unable to sort the data in the desired order. This is becuase the
available date formats (under the option "Format Columns) does not
offer a format that works only on MM-DD order. The formats all take
in consideration the year as well. Is there away to creat a new field
that gets it data from the MM-DD part of the Birthday field? Or is
there a way to create new date formats to be used in the "Format
Columns dialog?

thanks

I'm not sure you will be able to sort well, but it's been awhile since I did
a view on birthdates. I filter based on start date contains (often limiting
it to the last 3 months) then use automatic formatting to color code each
month.
