Hello Russ,
I think I didn't explain this right.
When my client opens his outlook address book (using the "to' button) and
scrolls down in the "Show names from the:" pulldown menu and chooses his
contacts all he sees is hash marks where he used to see telephone numbers.
Now when I look at my contact address book there are no telephone numbers
but
also no hashmarks where he insists there were #'s. I had the wrong version
of
Outlook as well it is 2000.
If I did explain it right and the answer is still as below, I will mark it
up to "mmm interesting, and how did you do that before?"

The Outlook Address Book has never displayed telephone numbers. The
address
book in Outlook has one purpose: to display the electronic addresses of
your
Contacts as you create an electronic message. Accordingly, there is no
need
or utility for it to display telephone numbers. That's what the Contacts
Folder is for.

How can I get my contacts which are listed as an address book, show the
telephone numbers when choosing from the Address book.
In other words, I used to be able to see the telephone numbers in my
contacts when I used the Address book feature in Outlook 2003
Thanks
