Is it not possible to contact Microsoft without paying insane amounts of cash?

I'm having an issue with VB.NET 2003 shutting down when I try to build.
I've posted here, I've posted elsewhere, and have received no answers.

I went to MSDN/.net web site, and it's hundreds of dollars just to phone???
$99 to email??

I buy a lot of software/hardware, and have never seen anything as ridiculous
as this!

I just bought this program, and assumed I would have some kind of 1yr.
support deal.

Disgusting.
