Contact question-New Computer (not picking up contacts)

Hoping someone can help me. On my old computer, when I started an
email, the name appeared from my Contact list (or a list appeared and
I chose one)...

I have copied the database file of Contacts and all the name are in
there. I have approx 6 different groups.

When I am using my new computer, the email will not automatically fill
in the name for me. I did already check the setting for that feature
but it does not work. Any hints? I have found that once I manually
typed in the names, they are remembered for the next time, but I have
hundreds of contacts..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
Post your Outlook version.
If you are talking about autocompletion (not autoresolution), it will only
use a cache of names that is created as you actually send messages, not your
Contacts data.
