I looked at some of the other questions but no one has
supplied sufficient information. My two year Dell has
Windows XP Professional. I am using Office Small Business
2002. Last week I had problems with Windows XP Pro
booting. I created a backup on my 2nd Hard drive (i.e
13GB). DVD/CD-RW is not available in Safe mode. After
attempting a repair I bought a new 80GB drive for master
drive. I moved the old 80GB drive to the slave drive. I
loaded Windows XP Pro on the new drive. I use
Administrator account(i.e. it is my name). I loaded
Office Small Business. I installed many patches from
Microsoft. SP1 for Windows XP. I am not installing SP2
since that MAY have created my problem last week. I
installed SP3 in Office Small Business. My Contacts list
and email folders are in Outlook. I check Contacts
Properties. Click Outlook Address Book. Click Show this
folder as an e-mail Address Book. This creates the double
Contacts listed below. If I do not do this I do not have
access to the Contacts at all. I click New Mail Message.
I click To.... The following message appears "The address
list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder
associated with this address list could not be opened; it
may have been moved or deleted; or you do not have
premissions. For information on how to remove this
folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft
Help." Window with title Select Names appears. Upper
right ico displays Outlook Address Book and two Contacts
(i.e. three lines). Outlook Address Book shows No Entries
in this Address ... Nothing appears from first Contacts
line. All my entries appear under second Contacts line.
HELP. How to I get access to my Contacts list? Thank you
in advance. Enjoy your day.
