Contact Follow Up does not pop up

Setting a follow up for a contact that is in any folder other than the
main (root) Contact folder does not pop a reminder. Is this by
design? Any workarounds.

Similarly, email reminders do not work if the mail is moved out of the
inbox.

Hi livetohike,

reminders only work in "default" folders of Outlook 97-2003. Only Outlook
2007 supports reminders also in subfolders.

If you need a "reminder" function you could try one of this 3rd party tools:
