Contact Folder Drop-down list

I have created other Contact Folders which have contact
items. I have placed these "sub" folders under Contacts in
the folder list. However, when creating a new email and I
click on the "To..." to pull a contact, these folders are
not in the drop-down list... only the general Contacts
folder is there. Please help.
 
Are the sub folder Contacts enabled as an email address book to check right
click the folder choose Properties and then Outlook Address Book ensure
checkbox is checked to enable as an email address book
 
Right-click the folder, choose Properties, and check the Outlook Address
Book check box.
