I'm trying to put information about a contact into the different fields. One of the fields I want to put in is a secondary mobile phone number. However, the drop down list does not give that as a choice. It has plenty of other phone choices but not the one I need. How can I add that as a choice for the drop down list without having to design a new form and add a whole new field?

Using Outlook 200

Thanks for any help!

You cannot add new phone choices to that list. If you want a second mobile
number, either use one of the existing fields or use a custom form to add a
new field and matching control.

What do you mean by use a customer form to add a new field? and matching control? what do you mean by that. Please reply soon. Thanks.

Since you haven't included the original conversation in your latest reply, I
have no idea. The newsgroup interface you are using apparently does not
quote earlier messages in the thread. Please take the time to quote the
original message.

Outlook supports custom forms with additional fields and your own layout for
displaying those fields. So, while you can't modify the existing phone
number list, you could add another text field and a control where the user
can enter and read the data in that field. See
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/forms.htm for basics on custom forms.
