Contact and Account Links after Import

Is it possible to import my Accounts and Contacts (from Access) into BCM and
have them linked automatically?

At the moment, I have the Account names filled in on the contact forms, but
they do not actually link to the corresponding Account.

I have around 6000 contacts and don't wish to do this manually!

Thanks

There's no way I'm aware of because the Contact's parent id field is
not exposed in the import field mapping dialog.

How did you get the Account name into the Account form?

I had understood that the Business Contact only had a Guid for the
parent Account, and that the Account name that corresponds to the
parent Guid was fetched by the form when the form opened. It is
possible that the Account name is inserted into the Contact view in the
database. But I don't understand how you got the Account name in the
Contact. Perhaps there's a difference between Access and CSV import
mapping--I only have CSV to experiment with. What version of BCM are
you using?

I should have mentioned that I am using the 2007 beta test drive. In 2007 the
Contact has a Company field that I can import to. This fills the correct
field but only with text, not with a link.

Thanks for the reply

Looks like Company is just a text field they've added to Contact. It
doesn't even get automatically filled in when you create a Business
Contact from an Account.
