Consultant database template

Rather than reinvent the wheel, I would like to know if there are searchable
consultant database designs out there that I could either use directly or
modify to use in our environment. The requirements are not complex, but I
would be surprised if there is not a free (or low cost) database system that
someone else has already done that meets our needs.
 
What does a "consultant" database do? Is it like a membership database or a
Human Resources/Employee database? There are lots of those out there. You
might need to add some additional tables for skills and resumes and clients
but they should give you a start.
