Does anybody know why I keep losing my internet connection?
Everytime I do so I have to reset the modem and regain connection through
the diagnostic tool in networking.
I did not have this problem with XP. I have a broadband connection and I'm
using the Ultimate version of Vista.
It becomes a bugger when you want to leave your computer on throughout the
day to download files.
Just for the record also. This is the second time I have installed this
Vista and the connection was fine on the first installation. It's wierd I
tell you.
Computers just rack my brains.

I have had this happen several times -
I am on DSL. My router and all other devices connected to the router are
working fine but the Vista machine reports that it is not connected to the
internet.
After rebooting the machine - everything is working correctly -

I haven't yet found a pattern that triggers that problem -
interestingly - I have trillian running all the time and it remains
connected, but Outlook and IE can't find a connection.

IE doesn't even connect to the IP address of my router.

I'm here looking for a resolution to the same problem... Intermittently,
Vista thinks it has lost internet connection. I connect to the Internet
through Verizon cable>RCA DCM315 Cable Modem>Linksys WRT54GP2A-AT
VOIP\Wireless Gateway>Intel Pro 1000 PM network adapter...
