Okay, may be simple but complex for me at this time. When
I have a a window open, whether it be for my email,
notepad, web page, whatever...I have to continually
reclick the page I have open to keep selected on it. Even
if it is the only window open on my desktop it will
deselect after 30 seconds (one day it was every 3
seconds...grrr) which forces me to click on it with my
mouse to make it THE page I want to work on. This gets
aggravating when I am trying to type on the page. For
instance I have already had to click on this page 4
times. I am hoping someone out there can help me...make
that 5 clicks! Thanks :)

to disable other applications from stealing the focus.

be a trojan/virus/spyware - you may want to check your system for those
Use something like "spybot search and destroy":
