constant semi-crashes caused by urlmon.dll

hey everyone-

I get these constant half-crashes on my system caused by
the file urlmon.dll. It used to happen in Windows ME all
the time so i upgraded to Windows XP at the advice of so
many people who 'knew what they were doing'.

Yeah, so I upgraded and the problem hasn't gone away.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks a lot for the help, Rich.

Unfortunately, I have some of those programs listed on that
site, but the crash is not related to them...more related
to the screen saver kicking in (which I have since turned
off and just powersave the monitor, cause I'm sick of crashes).

It crashes at other times too and I'm pretty sure it's the
fault of Internet Explorer, which is also why I use Navigator.

I'll try the other options you suggested.
