Constant problems with Vista Search

Search is constantly giving inconsistant results.
Whether searching from the search in the start menu or another window the
same problems occur.
Will not display results in some views. Almost always Details View won't
show results and others may or may not. Sometimes it works, most times it
doesn't.
Is there a workaround for this problem?

Get the free Agent Ransack. It's faster and much better than Vista's
search.

As screwed up as your computer is and as often as you've pleaded for
help to unscrew it, you probably should not be giving advice.

Who selected you group moderator? Either offer help or shut up and stop
complaining.

Hi Steve,

When the problem occurs in Explorer, try refreshing the view manually with
View|Refresh from the menu bar. If that works, then you need to update your video
driver. The view should refresh automatically after a search completes, but I had a
similar refresh problem that was fixed by a driver update.

Otherwise, post examples of search queries that fail or that produce inconsistent
results. The syntax has changed and queries using the old syntax often don't work
as expected.
