Whenever I click customize in tools-customize I get the send error report. It
seems that the culprit is olmapi32.dll. Is it possilbe to extract this file
from the installation program and replace it? I believe this file is either
corrupt or from a previous version of Outlook.

Repairing the Office installation might help.
If you're sure that is the culprit then it is possible to rename that file
to a .old extension before repairing..

Try deleting outcmd.dat with Outlook closed first.

Larry,

I was having the same problem as well. If you do an add/modify features in
add/remove programs, you'll see that Outlook 2007 is marked as being
unavailable.

I completely uninstalled Outlook 2003 (only, left the rest of Office 2003 in
tact, just not used while I have the 2007 B2 in), and was then able to
re-install Outlook 2007.

On some webpage somewhere (the Office 2007 Beta download page, perhaps?), it
clearly states Outlook 2003 and 2007 cannot co-exist. I think I might have
started up Outlook 2003 by accident which foobar'd 2007, but am not sure what
caused the problem.

Good luck,
paul

I did an uninstall of Office 2003, then installed Office 2007 Beta. Worked
well for about 3 weeks. Now I'm receiving an OLMAPI32.DLL error. Tried to
repair 2007, and got Outlook 2003. Tried uninstall 2003 and 2007. Then
re-installed 2007. No luck. Nothing works.

This OLMAPI 32 seems to be a large problem. Have seen a number of
complaints. Wonder if MS is scanning the web for complaints. They certainly
aren't paying attention here!!!

I've experienced all these problems over a period of about 2 months after
trying the Outlook 2007 beta. I tried all the usual fixes -- detect and
repair, both with "discard custom settings" and "restore shortcuts" checked
and unchecked, replacing MAPI32.dll with the clean copy from the Outlook
2003 CD, uninstalling/reinstalling, etc. Nothing worked. What finally
worked, today (I think this was Russ Valentine's suggestion), was to create
a new user account -- immediately after doing this and recreating new mail
accounts in Outlook, everything works the way it did before I installed that
crappy beta, hurray! Hope this helps someone.
