My computor constantly dial for a conection every 60
seconds.
I had a program trying to access the net but disabled it
and the system still wants to dial out even though I cant
see anything running.
Do you have any advise on how I can find out if something
is running or how to fix this problem.
Thank you
Neal

Suspect auto-updates, or programs that need to connect to the Net. Click
START|RUN and type "msconfig" <enter> (no quotes) to see what is being
launched at start up. The first place to disable it is in the program
configuration itself. A second choice would be UNchecking the msconfig
box for the program.

N the only possibility, but it's a start.

If this started recently, you may be able to use system restore to
stop it.
Start \ programs \ accessories \ system tools \ system restore
Pick a restore point from before the problem began.

First you might check to see whether you have windows update
configured to download automatically, but they usually try every 15
minutes or so.
