Consistent colours between worksheet charts?

I have two pie charts, one for last fiscal year and one for this
fiscal year to-date. I haven't figured out how to get consistent
colours between the two, if that is even possible.

i.e., Office Supplies for last year show up as navy blue but this year
as dark brown. Contracts, long-form show up last year as a light
yellow and this year as a dark pink.

Is there a way to have any chart we make have the same colours, even
if it means manually assigning a colour per category?

Thanks! :oD

Hi, folks. Is there any way to do this?

Did I not explain correctly? Is there a way to change the colours
Excel displays in a pie chart. Perhaps that is the better question.
I can change it manually. The workbook is good for a year, so it's
worth the effort to go and do this manually.

One way is to keep the categories in the same order in both charts.

Another way is to manually format each point. Click once on the series (the
pie), then once on the point (the wedge), then double click and choose
Format XXX and format the point the way you need it.

Thanks! That worked a treat.

I'll definitely check this out, however. Sounds like a great idea.
