Consistency check

For the last few days every time I boot my machine, after
the splash screen appears, I get a warning that my hard
drive needs to be checked for consistency. The first two
steps appear to finish successfully but the last step
shows an error message 'Unable to read the security
descriptors data stream.'

I couldn't find any information in the KB on this.
