OK, I know this has been asked and answered many, many times before,
but I can't seem to find where I saved all the posts about it.

What is the recommended procedure for keeping the ink tanks on the
i560 from drying out and clogging?? Shutting the printer off with the
switch before shutting down the computer or the set up inside the
properties window bout power managment??

And any recommendations on where to get refill ink in the US??

Thanks in advance.

My i550 - and i bet i560 is same in this regard - has auto power on and auto
power off function. So, you set auto power off to , say, 30 minutes and you
don't worry anymore. Head won't clog since at every start it's cleaned
(that's why it takes so long to first print).Shutting down PC is then no
longer connected with printer, as it will shut itself off after set time.
Also you don't have to turn it on, just hit print and it will turn itself on
by itself. These settings are under maintenance, and auto off is 1 min, 10
min, 30 min and 60 min.
Refills - sorry, i'm not in USA, but watch for quality ink, low ones will
clog the head (as it did on my old Lexmark). Otherway, refilling is well
worthed, very quick and easy.

And any recommendations on where to get refill ink in the US??

Thanks in advance.

Leave your printer on it's own power feed. Set it to shutoff on it's
own by setting theautopower off to on.

No problem - do not turn off the printer by killing the power to it -
if you must turn it off immediately turn if off from the printer power
switch.
