I'm just returning to using Outlook (2007) and don't have an old pst
file saved anywhere. Outlook doesn't seem to recognize Windows Live
Mail so I'm wondering about alternate methods to get at least some of
the goodies--calendar, contacts etc--which are in my MSN account so I'm
wondering about Outlook Connector. Does it synchronize Outlook on my
desktop with any MSN or Hotmail accounts (including contacts and/or
calendar) or am I totally misunderstanding what it is?

Thanks,
Tim

Don't know what you mean by "outlook doesn't recognise Windows Live
Mail". Why should it?

It can import from Outlook Express and Windows Mail so, it would seem,
Microsoft assumes people might want to convert from one of their free
programs to their paid one. I'm not suggesting it should or shouldn't.
I'm simply stating a fact...if you click "import from another
program," you're options are OE and WM.

Yes, the connector does exactly that. It will sync your hotmail/msn
account with outlook, including the calendar and contacts.

Thanks for the help BUT having done it, I can't find any methodology to
change the calendar being displayed on the "to do" section. My calendar
is named, simply "calendar" and the one imported is "Timothy's
Calendar." Is it as simply as I delete the calendar and rename the one
imported? I've looked at every drop down menu and every area in options
etc but find nothing about which calendar to use in "to do."

Any ideas?

Thanks again,
Tim
