Hi all,

I have a little problem which I hope some of yous might
have answers to. I'd greatly appreciate any help you guys
could afford me at the moment.

I recently installed threedegrees for MSN messenger,
which included having to install Advanced Networking Pack
for Windows XP on my computer before the threedegrees
program. Shortly after doing installing both programs, I
started having problems that is whenever I connect to my
broadband isp, my computer hangs for at least 10mins.
During this time, I can't open any programs at all, I
could however open my directories. Nevertheless, after
the hanging episode, my computer starts working fine
without any problems. Have any of yous experienced such
problems? If so, have any of yous managed to find a
suitable solution to this? Please help.

Jules

I have been experiencing the exact same problem. When my
computer boots up I have no problem opening programs etc.
but as soon as I log onto the net using my BT ADSL
Broadband connection my computer hangs for about 10
minutes then all of a sudden my programs open and
everything runs fine from thereon in. I too have
recently loaded Windows Service Pack1, Advanced
Networking and Three Degrees.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi guys

well even i have experienced the same problem, it happens
when you try to open (many) applications simultaneously.
If your operating syustem is windows xp, u should have
good amount of ram, but sometimes this happens even if u
have 512 mb of ram, please wait until the dsl connection
is established sucessfully, and disable the auto sign in
in yahoo, msn, aol, or any other applications which try to
acess internet as soon as it is available. and do not open
or click on the explorer again and again if the first
window has not opened.

i dont know huow much this will help u , but this is what
i did, i disabled the applications auto login to internet
and stuff,

and disable some programs from the MSCONFIG, choose
selective startup, disable the messengers and other
programs which load at the startup of windows.

delete all unnecessary files from the temporary internet
files folder and temporary files, keep running disk
cleanup utility.

and disable automatic updates, mostly it happens coz of
automatically updates from any program

hope this will help u, and dude if u have less then 256 mb
of ram upgrade it.

zulfi

see ya
