Hi,

I have Internet Explorer 6 with service pack 2. I have been having issues
where I will be online and viewing pages and everything is fine. Then IE
won't be able to access a web page. I have other programs that access the
internet, such as live update for my virus software. But during this same
time IE wont connect to any web site. Is there anything I can do to resolve
this? I have rebooted several times, virus scanned and spyware scanned and
nothing has come up.

Thanks Guys!!

I have to join in. For the last 2 months I've had this problem. I've tried
reinstalling IE6, resetting it to it's defaults, scanned the disks (even
network ones) 3 times. What happened to IE? The last things I remember is
that the previous night I was googling leaving my computer on (but locked).
The next morning, while resuming the search found out the browser was
uncapable of connecting to websites. Who can give a hand about this?

Dear Amy,

I am having the same problems, and it is intermittant. The only thing that
resolves it for me is to power down totally. I have posted another question
on this, as I am finding more people that are having a similar problem.

Hilario, I have had the same problem for approximately the same amount of
time... I can't help but wonder if there was something in one of the
security patches....

This happens to me randomly and the only thing that fixes it is to
reboot.... What about you?

Hi,

I tried downloading an update to IE 6 to make sure my version was secure. It
was after that the I started having these issues. It is a shame microsoft
does not monitor these postings to better support their products. But when
you have a monopoly I guess you just stop caring about your customers and
take them for granted.

Now off of my soap box. If anyone can give some fix suggestions please let
us know. Thanks!! =)

In my case, I'va been using Firefox ever since 'cause IE won't do a thing!
As you said, it must have been some update that went wrong while downloading
but the problem is that I can't go to the windowsupdate website without an
IE.
