Connection tab not responding

Hi,
New Vista user, attempting to set up mail for the first time.
Tools-accounts-mail-connection. This tab does not respond and I am prompted
to close the program. Unable to check mail using windows mail. Thx, Chris.
 
You should not have to do anything in the Connection tab
since the default is to use the same connection that IE uses.

If you get an error message, post it here.

Make sure your antivirus program is not configured to
scan email. Also, McAfee and Norton antivirus are not
compatible with Windows Mail, and should be uninstalled.
